One report of COVID-19 at our facility in Toyama, Japan

On April 25, Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, "Murata") confirmed that an employee at our group company, Toyama Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, "the site"), working in the plant has tested positive for COVID-19.

 

1. Status of the employee

As a close contact of an infected person in Toyama Prefecture reported on April 24 (announced by Toyama Prefecture on the same day), the employee tested positive on a PCR test on April 25.

2. Current status of the site

In consideration of the health and safety of all the employees, we will suspend operations from April 25 to 26 at the site. We will proceed to promptly disinfect the building where the employee worked and any related facilities the employee may have used. No employees were determined to have been in close contacts.

We sincerely apologize for any anxiety or concern that this may cause people in the immediate and surrounding regions.
