Featured Exhibits

To inform more people about Murata's areas of business and component technologies, we will present two specialized technology exhibits at TECHNO-FRONTIER 2012. The highlights are as follows.

EMC JAPAN 2012

We will be introducing noise-handling components and our know-how for dealing with the latest design issues, including improving the reception sensitivity of LTE and maintaining the waveform quality of MHL.
The noise-handling capabilities of our power supply circuit lineup will be introduced through demonstrations.

Demonstrations

We will show how our monolithic ceramic capacitors contribute to increasing the reliability and decreasing the size of power supply circuits.

  • Replacing the smoothing capacitor at an inverter input.
  • Replacing the capacitor at a DC-DC converter output

Presentation (Schedule)

  • Replacing output capacitor in switching power (10: 30/13: 30/15: 00)
  • Intra-system EMC on terminal with LTE supply (11: 30/14: 30/15: 30)

ENERGY HARVESTING 2012

A variety of energy-harvesting devices, which convert the tiny amounts of energy around us into electricity, and their applications will be introduced in a display that will include demonstrations.

Demonstrations

  • Wireless sensor network
We will introduce an application for a wireless sensor network combining energy-harvesting devices and sensors with communication modules.
  • Self-powering wireless light control switch
This is a battery- and wire-free switch that uses a piezoelectric device to switch a light ON/OFF using energy generated by the pressing force.

It will also be possible to view demonstrations of other control systems.
