We exhibited and demonstrated a high-performance and ultra-small ring pulse meter with a sensor, a wireless communication module, and a built-in rechargeable battery module at CEATEC JAPAN 2010. The purpose of this demonstration was to show how easy it is to take pulse measurements wirelessly without, for example, hindering movement during cycling., Such system requires close coordination of sensing technology, sensor output data processing algorithms, data transmission protocols, communication systemsand software to communicate the evidence-based outcome to users. Even if Murata handles the hardware issues and our customers handle end user issues, the boundary between the two must be determined on a case by case basis. Murata may be required to provide software, including device drivers, and potential solutions are endless. In either case, we will be proudly shipping our fleet of healthcare products during FY2011.
