Confirmation items for users before using the Consultation Window for Business Partners (Suppliers)

Please carefully read and agree to the following terms before utilizing this Consultation Window. The Murata Group is unable to accept reports or consultations without your agreement.

1. Overview

・The purpose of this window is for our business partners, mainly suppliers, to report and consult with the Murata Group on any compliance violations or suspicious thereof in transactions involvingthe Murata Group. These include:

■ Bribery

■ Antitrust law violations

■ Conflicts of interest including kickbacks

■ Quality and inspection fraud

■ Leakage of confidential information

■ Violations of laws regarding the protection of personal information

■ Human rights violations, discrimination

■ Environmental law violations

■ Accounting and tax fraud

■ Violation of the Murata Group’s "Corporate Ethics Policy and Code of Conduct"

■ Other violations of laws and regulations or compliance issues

・In certain countries, the type of reports that can be accepted via this window are restricted to specific areas such as finance, accounting, auditing, bribery, competition law, discrimination/harassment, environment, health, sanitation and safety. Therefore, please confirm that the issues that you wish to report or consult via this window are permitted under local law.

・When reporting, please provide information only if you have reasonable grounds to believe it is true. The information you provide about yourself, your colleagues or your company may affect others. We will not retaliate for reports made in good faith, even if later found incorrect. However, knowingly providing false or misleading information is not allowed.

・Except in cases of malicious intent, we will not treat the reporter unfavorably for having made a report or sought consultation.

・The window may be used anonymously. However, please be aware that anonymous reports may limit our ability to respond or conduct a thorough investigation, due to difficulties in verifying the facts.

2. Response after Receipt of Report

・A compliance officer from the relevant company associated with the report will receive and address the report. The information may be shared with Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and other related group companies as necessary.

・If you provide contact details, the relevant company or Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. may contact you regarding the report details. However, this communication is intended solely for the reporter. Forwarding this communication to third parties or using it for different purposes, in whole or part, is strictly prohibited.

3. About Personal Information

(Personal Information) The window collects and processes personal information provided by the reporter, including:

(i) Name, position and contact details of the reporter (unless reported anonymously), and their relationship with our company;

(ii) Names and other personal information (e.g. position, contact information) of individuals mentioned in the report;

(iii) Details of the alleged violation and the context in which it occurred.

(Handling of Personal Information) Personal information shall be handled as follows:

(i) We will safeguard personal information from leakage, loss or damage using appropriate technical, organizational, and physical security control measures.

(ii) Personal information is processed and used solely for investigating reports, addressing compliance violations, implementing preventive measures, and managing contacts. To this extent, personal information is retained for the period permitted by applicable laws and regulations.

(iii) Compliance officers may share personal information with the Murata Group companies or external advisors (such as legal advisors) to the extent necessary for the aforementioned purpose.
