About the Murata Cheerleaders

Created to bring vitality and delight to people all over the world, Murata’s Cheerleaders were designed by bringing together a variety of technologies cultivated at Murata. Their key features are stabilization, which keeps them upright, and synchronization, which keeps them from colliding. Both features are made possible via ultrasonic position measurement technology, group control technology, and inverted pendulum control technology. All of our Cheerleaders will give their very best performances and support innovators all over the world.

*1  Currently the world’s largest and only international conference on museums. It is held once every three years by ICOM, which counts 140 countries and regions as members. This is the first time ICOM has held a conference in Japan.

*2 In the past, Kyoto has commissioned celebrities with connections to Kyoto Prefecture to disseminate the charm of Kyoto widely. This is the first appointment of robots to the position. Their term of office is until June 30, 2021.
