Okayama Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (Setouchi, Okayama Prefecture), a subsidiary of Murata Manufacturing Company, Ltd., will begin construction on a new production building as well as additions to the welfare building and energy building in December 2019. The new building is intended to put in place the structural capacity to respond to growing demand for ceramic components over the medium and long term given the increased functionality of electronic devices and widespread use of electronics in automobiles. The additions to the welfare building and energy building will enable the enhancement of welfare and wellbeing facilities and an expansion of manufacturing capacity.
