Items to be exhibited
In addition to existing products such as quartz crystal wave plates, the Murata exhibit will feature newly developed high-purity synthetic quartz crystal (Pristal) and quartz wavelength converters as a reference exhibition product.
1. Quartz Crystal Wave Plate
These are optical elements that utilize the double refraction characteristics of quartz crystals to create a phase contrast between ordinary and extraordinary rays.
They are used in pickups for products such as DVD players, in LCD projectors, and also in laser processing equipment.
2. Highly durable Synthetic Quartz Crystal
Synthetic quartz crystals are used as a raw material in quartz crystal products for a wide range of applications. Murata’s highly durable synthetic quartz crystal is suitable for applications that require durability, such as lasers.
3. Quartz Wavelength Converter (reference exhibition product)
Wavelength conversion technology employing non-linear optical effects is one method of changing the laser wavelength region. Murata will exhibit quartz wavelength converters utilizing its own highly durable synthetic quartz crystals as a reference exhibition product.
