Dr. Okada graduated from the Tohoku University School of Engineering in 1999 and completed the Graduate Program in Engineering Science at Osaka University. He enrolled in the Groupe de Physique des Solides at Universities Paris 6 while studying for his doctorate. He was granted the position of Postdoctoral Researcher of 21st Century COE program at the Department of Physics, Graduate School of Science, Kyoto University in 2005. He became an assistant professor in the Kyoto University Pioneering Research Unit for Next Generation. He was awarded a research grant by the Murata Science Foundation in 2008.
