Sales in the first half of last year set a new record. I am deeply grateful for all of your hard work in responding to increased demand for electronic components.

The growth of smartphones and spread of LTE are predicted to continue. Meanwhile, in the automotive market, hybrid cars are further increasing in popularity as the market for electric vehicles also expands, suggesting continued growth for electronic components. I would like us to strive to maintain our customers’ confidence in us as a high-capacity supplier who can respond flexibly to their needs.

Solution businesses are essential in the automotive, environment/energy, and healthcare markets cited in the mid-term business plan. I hope that we can take into account changes in our business model as we move one step further into new fields of business.

The environment that surrounds us is in a constant state of drastic change, but the power to take on and overcome any challenge lies within all of us. Let’s discover our true potential, bring forth new businesses, and continue to contribute to the advancement of society through our work.
