Summary

Murata will be exhibiting wireless communication modules, sensors, and wireless sensor network solutions that contribute to the realization of the “Internet of Things” (IoT).

Wireless communication solutions

Making possible applications for easily recording and managing life rhythms

Sample application

A demonstration will be presented in which Bluetooth® Smart modules and sensors utilizing wireless sensor network are combined to transfer data on the life rhythms of babies or small children to a smartphone or tablet device, on which it can easily be recorded and managed. It is anticipated that such systems will enable sharing of information on children’s life rhythms with medical facilities or between families.

Wireless communication solutions offering one-stop total support for hardware and software will be on display.

Wireless LAN smart module incorporating Java ME Embedded
Wi-Fi driver package for real-time OSes
Radio Law certification service with support for certification in Japan and overseas

Motion sensor modules

Murata will be exhibiting for the first time motion sensor modules that enable contactless motion detection within a 3D space, making them suitable for game machines and security applications. 
Demonstrations will show the use of these modules in providing a contactless interface that operates similarly to a touch panel.

Also on display will be a sensor network that combines photoelectric devices that generate electricity from ambient indoor light, wireless communication modules, and sensors.
