Murata strives to quantitatively ascertain the environmental impact associated with its business activities and analyzes that information to reduce the environmental impact.
Although the electronic components we manufacture are small, the amount of resources such as energy and water used in their production is not.
We have established goals related to the reduction of environmental impact for fiscal 2022 to fiscal 2024 from a lifecycle perspective and are taking action to achieve those goals.

Expenses for environmental activities in fiscal 2022 totaled approximately 9.5 billion yen. The figure for capital investment was approximately 3.7 billion yen.
