The product information appearing in back issues of metamorphosis was current at the time of publication but may differ from the latest information in some cases. Please refer to the Murata product website for the latest information on products.
The core of the demo kit is an electronic circuit housed in a clear plastic cube measuring approximately 66 mm on each side. The SysCube name is short for “system in a cube.” Figure 3 shows the internal structure of a pyroelectric infrared sensor-based SysCube. Integrating the Murata component to be demonstrated (in this case, a pyroelectric infrared sensor) and its peripheral circuit in the device unit on the top surface lets the customer understand the size of the circuit required to provide the function in question. The SysCube alone can be used to demonstrate the component function. An additional demo kit based on a PC has been developed to allow functions to be visualized even more clearly (See Fig. 4). Murata uses this demo kit series successfully at trade exibition such as CEATEC JAPAN and technical exchange meetings with customers.
