Overcoming all difficulties for continual growth
I would like to extend my gratitude to everybody in the factories for the ways in which they have coped with increased demand for electronic components used in smartphones and tablet terminals.
The diversification of high-function, low-cost, wearable computers and other types of mobile information terminals continues to advance, and new functions are now in demand. We need to maintain a firm grasp on new trends and do everything in our power to acquire satisfaction and trust from our customers.
We need to firmly ascertain exactly what value Murata can provide to what type of applications for use in the automotive, environment/energy, healthcare and other new markets that have been targeted in our mid-term business plan, and then create a system that will enable us to develop new fields of business.
Murata's greatest strengths lie in our lineup of leading-edge products, the support we receive from our wide-ranging customer base, and our ability to keep promises made to customers. The environment we are involved in is constantly undergoing drastic changes, but we have the strength to accept and overcome any new challenges that are thrown our way. And, if we can fully exploit this strength, I am sure it will lead to even greater growth.
