Murata Electronics (Thailand), Ltd., a manufacturing subsidiary of Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (“Murata”), will invest approximately 6.2 billion yen1 in the construction of a new production building on its premises to respond to growing demand for EMI suppression filters2. The construction will start in September 2026 and is expected to be completed in November 2027.

2 Electronic components that reduce the electromagnetic interference (EMI) generated and propagated by electronic devices. They are used in a wide range of electronic devices, including smartphones, computers, and industrial equipment.
Demand for the EMI suppression filters used as a measure against electromagnetic interference in electronic devices has grown in recent years as electronic devices become increasingly sophisticated and complex. The construction of the new production building is aimed at responding to this increased demand by expanding Murata’s production capacity for EMI suppression filters.
The investment will strengthen Murata’s production system for EMI suppression filters in Thailand. Murata will continue to develop its production and supply systems to ensure a stable supply of products going forward.
