Summary
Murata will present technological solutions for the ever-expanding Internet of Things (IoT), including cloud platforms, wireless sensor networks, and sensor elements and compact energy devices for their support.
Items to be exhibited
Cloud platforms for devices
Murata will exhibit its “SyCloud” system, which combines the reliability of Murata devices and the flexibility of cloud platforms. There will also be demonstrations of the use of cloud platforms for process control systems and asset tracking systems.
Wireless sensor networks for environmental monitoring
Murata will showcase systems that make full use of wireless communications technology – a Murata strong point – to wirelessly monitor temperature and humidity, human presence, and illumination. On exhibit will also be systems designed for quality control and improved safety in factories and other facilities that make use of wireless gas sensor nodes to wirelessly monitor gas concentrations and gas leaks in real time and at low cost.
Sensor elements
Murata will also be exhibiting an extensive lineup of its sensor groups, key devices indispensable alongside wireless communications for supporting smartification and the application of IoT in control equipment and monitoring systems.
Compact energy devices
On exhibit will be the UMA series of compact energy devices that are tough, long-life, and capable of fast charging and discharging. Two types will be available, laminate-type and cylinder-type, to suit specific application requirements. Their use, combined with energy harvesting, in the implementation of maintenance-free sensor nodes, will be featured.
