Background
In recent years, the business center in Greater China has expanded from the coastal areas of China to the interior regions, and the relocation of production bases and R&D bases has become a conspicuous trend. In addition, start-up companies that have established a presence in the interior are recording steady growth, and the important questions to tackle now are how can sales activities in the interior be stepped up, how quickly can customer needs be met, and how more individualized services can be provided.
Chongqing is a typical large city in the interior, and it is one urban area where the ongoing shift from the coasts to the interior is particularly noticeable. Furthermore, the presence of automobile - related and other start - up companies that have become based in Chongqing is becoming more apparent, and business can be expected to expand even more in the future. It is for these reasons that Murata decided to set up the new branch of its Chinese sales company in Chongqing.
The Chongqing branch will sell the products of the Murata Group and provide service to customers in the Chongqing area, and it will also be charged with marketing activities with a view to expanding business in the interior. With a view to the possible inauguration of more business bases, Murata will continue to pursue ways and means of strengthening its customer support setup in the interior of China.
