Murata and Mouser Sponsor the 2016 IoT Design Contest in India

Murata, along with Mouser Electronics and Broadcom, is co-sponsoring the 2016 IoT Design Contest in India, kicking off 22nd December 2015.

The contest encourages engineers and other techies— from students and hobbyists to professional design engineers —to design and build innovative embedded Internet of Things (IoT) systems using specific components from Murata and Broadcom.

The 2016 IoT Design Contest is open to any individual or groups of individuals who reside in India and are at least 18 years of age. The contestants are encouraged to submit new ideas and innovations in embedded systems with interesting IoT applications. Entries will be judged equally on energy efficiency, design optimization, technical merit, originality, usefulness, and cost-effectiveness. The grand prize winner will receive a cash prize of Rs 80,000. Registration is open 22 December 2015 through 12 February 2016.

Murata has designated the following components from the company’s broad product portfolio for this design contest: PKGS Shock Sensors, Board Mount Barometric Pressure Sensors, UMAC Series Small Energy Device, and Type YD-certified Wi-Fi Module.
