Exhibition Overview
Murata’s technologies, which are essential for the realization of a super-smart society, will be featured by application.
Base Stations
Issues related to 5G, which is characterized by ultra-high speed, multiple concurrent connections, and ultra-low latency, include power efficiency and network liberalization. Murata will support the opening of network facilities through technologies that contribute to the miniaturization of base stations. Murata’s special website will introduce devices such as a millimeter-wave RF antenna module.
Data Centers
With the development of cloud computing, data centers are becoming increasingly important. We propose compact and highly efficient power supply products to address issues such as increased power consumption, heat generation, processing delays, and space limitations due to increasing integration. Murata’s special website will introduce devices such as a PoE module.
Wearable/Hearable/AR/VR
In the wearable/hearable/AR/VR market, high-quality sound and images and additional features, such as biological sensing, increase power consumption, and the challenge is to achieve both miniaturization and long-term use. Murata provides solutions in all areas of communications, sensing, batteries, and haptics. We enable the development of compact, low-power, and safe devices. Murata’s special website will introduce devices such as communication modules and sensors.
SFA（Smart Factory Automation）
Issues such as labor shortages, a decrease in skilled workers, work-style reforms, intensifying global competition, and diversification of customer needs are driving the increasing digitization of manufacturing sites. Small and reliable sensors and communication modules as well as the know-how cultivated at our own manufacturing sites contribute to greater production automation, preventive maintenance, and resource efficiency. Murata’s special website will introduce devices such as communication modules.
Mobility
ADAS (advanced driver-assistance system) has become more common due to social demands to reduce traffic accidents and more prolific research on automated driving. Since level 3 autonomous driving, matters such as redundancy of V2X and sensing, as well as in-cabin monitoring, have become issues. Murata will propose solutions based on our knowledge of sensors, communications, and the circuit technology that connects them, backed by our track record in the automotive market and our quality assurance system. Murata’s special website will introduce devices such as communication modules and sensors that can be used both in vehicles and infrastructure.
Other
While the spread of digitization rapidly improves efficiency and convenience, it also creates various cyber-related risks, increasing the need to take measures against cyber-terrorism and other threats. We will introduce communication modules that can configure safe and secure IoT networks for various security issues. Examples of IoT solutions we will introduce include AIRSual, a space visualization solution that contributes to the safety, security, and comfort of restaurants, facilities, and office spaces.
In addition, we will introduce examples of our efforts related to the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) and, in the open innovation zone, our initiatives to strengthen collaboration with external organizations, such as idea creation and technology exchange with partner companies.
