Yasu Plant is a relatively new plant which began its operation in 1987 at Yasu-shi, Shiga Prefecture. It conducts leading edge R&D for areas such as material development, development of production technology, semiconductors and thin-layer ultra-fine processing technology. Numerous research buildings and recreation facilities are located at its vast 250,000 m2 property. This plant also aims at reduction of greenhouse gas emission and industrial waste fluid by incorporating the cogeneration system as well as the latest industrial waste fluid reduction system.
The Yasu Division was opened in 1987 and is the Murata Group’s largest research and development hub. It is also a production center for the raw materials used in Murata products. The Yasu Division serves as our supply base for “products and technology.” Here, we carry out industry-leading R&D for product design, and develop new products, materials, processes, and production engineering. We also focus on analysis and evaluation technology that supports these endeavors.
