Q&A
MURATA BOY's secret

Q.He is capable of standing straight even when the bicycle has stopped.
Why doesn't he fall over?

A.His secret lies in the gyro sensor that is installed underneath the saddle.

Gyro sensors are capable of detecting the bicycle's slightest tilt. A force that recovers the tilting occurs by rotating the disk located in MURATA BOY's chest when tilting of the bicycle is detected. Repeating this enables MURATA BOY to maintain his balance and posture.

Q.What other ways are there to operate MURATA BOY besides using a computer?

A.You can also operate using MURATA BOY's Magic Wand, the “Magic Stick”.

The Magic Stick has a built-in accelerometer and gyro sensor. When the stick is moved, data about its movement is sent to MURATA BOY over Wi-Fi, causing him to move his head or ride forward or backwards.
