On September 1, 2023, Murata Manufacturing, Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, “Murata”), Ishihara Sangyo Kaisha, Ltd. (head office: Nishi-ku, Osaka; president: Hideo Takahashi; hereinafter, “Ishihara Sangyo”) and Fuji Titanium Industry Co., Ltd. (head office: Nishi-ku, Osaka; president: Hideo Nogi; hereinafter, “Fuji Titanium”) established joint venture company MF Material Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, “MF Material”) and held a ceremony on the same day to mark the occasion.
MF Material was established to combine the respective manufacturing technologies and expertise cultivated by Fuji Titanium and Murata, capitalizing on this body of knowledge to further improve quality and productivity, including the construction of a new plant in Nobeoka, Miyazaki Prefecture, which will increase the production capacity of barium titanate when it begins operation in 2027.
